Thank you for this straightforward tutorial. All other instructions I found were far more convoluted and confusing, suggesting steps that were apparently not necessary.

It does work, but there must be a better way to use IIS to authenticate with the connector using a certificate and not the public IP since spamhaus will block all attempts if any of your machines in your network starts to send spam emails through this connector.

Although this is a marketing video for 365, I agree with the Google view. Having used both, Google Gsuite as it was know, is awful.

1:04 You still have to back up and have a disaster recovery plan. What if you're connections to the cloud drop? What if someone gains access to your cloud admin? Hybrid is always better and cheaper. Move to the cloud to get better flexible licensing they said (for us). Now Microsoft have changed the license model to be exactly the same as onsite so you have to pay yearly again. So no cheaper than onsite.

Just to correct the "small" and VERY confusing oversight, Yes, ALL users need to be licensed. Conditional Access like all Azure Premium offerings "should" be assigned on a per-user basis to work as intended.

I cannot find if there are any limitations for using this as a mail relay. I work for an electric utility and we have between 6000-7000 people that want their bills emailed to them. We email subscribers twice per month (3 times for the ones that are late). Our billing server generates the emails and relies on a separate mail relay server. But I don't want to attempt this if there is a maximum number limit that is below our potential. Great video though!

How do I enable SMTP on Microsoft Outlook for Outlook.com based email?On the outlook.com website I have set up a few SMTP only accounts. This works fine on Outlook.com’s webmail, on iPhone Apple Mail, on macOS Mail, and even on my Android tablet. On these devices the SMTP accounts show up in the From box when sending an email and I select one to send. The issue is on Microsoft Outlook 2019 (on Windows 10). The SMTP email accounts show up on the From list like it’s supposed to but I’m not able to send anything as the system rejects it immediately saying I don’t have permission or something. It can’t be that on every system this works but not on Microsoft Outlook. Outlook is a pretty configurable email client system. You seem like you understand this stuff. Do you have any ideas how I might be able to resolve this issue? Thanks in advance.
